Launched in January 2025 in collaboration with the University of the West of England, the CT Radiographer Development Programme is designed to enhance the skills and expertise of qualified radiographers through comprehensive education and hands-on training in CT technology and applications.
This innovative programme combines focused academic learning with workplace-based competencies, supporting both those new to CT and experienced CT radiographers working towards a Level 7 qualification.
The modular course structure covers key areas including:
- CT Technology
- Fundamental Applications
- Anatomy and Pathology in Cross-Sectional Imaging
For radiographers requiring intravenous training, the College of Radiographers Certificate of Competence in Administering Intravenous Injection Study Day is also included.
Active participation in lectures, workshops and other instructional activities forms an essential part of the study experience. Each participant is paired with a clinical mentor within their Trust to guide and support their development, helping them build confidence and competence in CT imaging.
