The SWITA team were delighted to welcome the President of the Society of Radiographers, Katie Thompson, to the Plymouth Academy on 13 November 2025.
Katie, a sonographer from Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, joined the team for a walkaround the Academy to see the facilities on offer and discuss the future of education and training for the imaging workforce in the South West.
We all know the vital importance of workforce supply to meet the rising demand for imaging services. The career progression of that workforce is just as vital. It is great to see the energy and innovation at SWITA ensuring that the skills and individual professionals required for the future will be met in the South West.”
