This is a one day course aimed at all healthcare workers who support learners in clinical practice.
This study day is designed to strengthen how we support learners in clinical settings, with a clear focus on three key priorities from the Safe Learning Environment Charter: Raising concerns, time and space for learning and respect and feeling valued.
The morning programme features inspiring lectures and keynote talks, setting the scene with expert insights on these priorities and highlighting the importance of embedding equality, diversity, and inclusivity (EDI) into every aspect of practice. In the afternoon, delegates will take part in dynamic interactive workshops, exploring real-world scenarios and practical strategies to create safe, supportive and inclusive learning environments.
By the end of the day, participants will leave with enhanced confidence and tools to foster positive learner experiences and contribute to a culture where learners feel valued, supported and empowered to thrive.
The day begins with a series of four inspiring keynote sessions, the first will introduce the Safe Learning Environment Charter and its vision for supporting learners in practice. This will be followed by keynote talks exploring the Charter’s three core priorities: raising concerns, time and space for learning and respect and feeling valued.
In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to choose from a range of interactive workshops led by experienced Practice Educators and subject experts. These practical sessions will dive deeper into key themes, including equality, diversity and inclusivity and psychological safety.
