On the 6 November 2025, SWITA welcomed colleagues from across the multi-professional healthcare workforce to our second Supporting Learners in Clinical Practice Study Day. The event brought together a diverse and passionate community, all committed to strengthening the learning environment for our current and future workforce.
Our programme centred around three key priorities from the Safe Learning Environment Charter: Positive Identity, Raising Concerns, and Supervision. Attendees heard insightful and thought-provoking keynote talks from our expert speakers: including Carrie Biddle, Emma Charman AHP Preceptorship Lead, Maria Farrow Jones and Charlotte Widgery Freedom to Speak up Guardians, Julie Mills Professional Officer Education and Accreditation, The Society and College of Radiographers and Dolly Cox Radiographer and Practice Educator. Interactive workshops in the afternoon encouraged open discussion, reflection, and sharing of best practice, all underpinned by a strong focus on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and supported the event. Your engagement and enthusiasm continue to drive a culture where all learners feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Please save the date for our next Supporting Learners in Clinical Practice Study Day on the 19 March 2026.
